# Atom
## I. What it is (established science)
Atoms are bound states of a nucleus (hadrons) and electrons. The Bohr radius sets the typical atomic scale; quantum mechanics and the fine-structure constant govern resolution. See atomic physics; RST maps binding and resolution at this scale.
## II. RST/RRT reading
| Physics | RST/RRT |
|:---|:---|
| Nucleus + electrons | **composed_of** [[Hadron]] (nucleus) and electron; relational maintenance at atomic scale. |
| Bohr radius | **typical_scale** → Atomic ([[Scale registry]]: atom ~ \(5.29 \times 10^{-11}\) m). |
| Resolution | Signal vs noise at atomic scale; \(\mu\) from Resource Triangle. |
